Inclusive Countryside Access
Meet The Team

Founder
Kate Mulholland
My inspiration began when my eldest daughter, Jessica was knocked from her bike and sustained appalling injuries to her left leg at the beginning of the pandemic and first lockdown. She has braved her way through extreme pain and traumatic treatment to this day and beyond and it has changed her career path as a doctor probably forever. My journey continued with the death of my dearly loved mother-in-law in 2021, she was a true inspiration on plants, animals, the environment and much more, she had such a wise view and wicked sense of humour. I will miss her always but she will have many friends with her wherever she is. The latest challenge was when my mother had an accident in April 2022 and lost the will to live. I spent 2 weeks really listening to and hearing her voice and what she was really saying. These three brave women have given me a huge passion to create a more inclusive world where families with extra challenges can enjoy an outdoor experience where there really is something for everyone to enjoy and take an active role. Please join this merry band with me!

Originally from Bolton, England, I moved to Glasgow, Scotland about 8 years ago to be with my partner Louise, this is when I also met wee Amy, my stepdaughter. Amy being disabled opened my eyes to the world of accessibility and I'm now proud to be part of something that gives people of all abilities experiences that they otherwise wouldn't have. I'm also a huge comic, gaming, and movie nerd with an unhealthy funko pop obsession.

I have a close interest in opportunities for the disabled as my daughter has Cerebral Palsy. Finding activities that appeal to everyone in a family with disabled members is key to inclusion. ICAccess is a fantastic vehicle for developing an unusual but exciting range of activities that are normally denied to the disabled. My background in business, education and other charities will help the company to grow, offering a wider range of events, whilst focusing on safe inclusion.
